![]() Wikitext is a coding system specific for wikis such as fandom. If you do not know wikitext, ask Tizi for some. There are many other ways to enhance the reader's experience such as sound files, backgrounds, and wikitext. Once they start reading, it's easy for them to imagine what you are telling them because they already put themselves in that location. Often a reader will first see the picture and begin to place themselves right there, in that picture. Pictures, especially a good, liminal picture can really set the mood and tone of the page. The are a number of ways a creator can make their page stand out and look the best it can. Even your fellow creators can be a great asset on formatting your page. If you have any questions, contact an admin or moderator. Feel free to look at the source code of your favorite levels to see how they implemented their designs and format. Generally, we want to follow something close to this format and absolutely have this information present. There is some leighway on how a creator can organize and style their page. This will allow of readers to click and understand what material you are referencing. Try to utilize the linking function to attach a URL to your entities and levels that you mention. We want entrances and exits to be logically possible to obtain and documented enough that a reader can imagine being able to enter or leave your level. Try to avoid using overly large decimal numbers as probabilities to enter your level such as: If a wander moves an orange book in level 3 they have a 0.00000000000001% chance to enter level #. They are/aren't friendly to wanderers because.Įntrances and Exits - We want to be specific on how to enter and exit but not too specific.Entity 3 - description of location found and frequency.Ĭolonies and Outposts- are there any settlements in this area? How were the established? What do they do? There can also not be colonies and our outposts, however, this header is necessary.Entity 2 - description of location found and frequency.Entity 1 - description of location found and frequency. This should reflect in your class difficulty. A list of templates available can be found here:Įntities - it's possible to not have entities, have hordes or anything in between. Fandom has allowed its users the ability to insert templates into our pages. There are certain bits of information we like to think our reads will want to know about our pages and we've developed a format to help meet that goal. Though we like variety in our content, as reading the same stuff on every page would get rather dull rather quickly, we do want to achieve a certain level of uniformity in our pages. We will accomplish this by creating fun, readable, and well executed pages. We want our readers to be able to imagine themselves or their characters traversing and surviving (or not surviving) in these analogous places. Our goal is to provide our readers with an experience unlike anything they've seen or read. Our goal as a wiki isn't to establish super strict rules, making page creation impossible and too daunting of a task to even attempt. Though the rain adds atmosphere, it is boring and easily forgettable. What makes this classroom special? What makes it memorable for readers?Įxample 3 is unrelated to the Schoolrooms. The entity horde is only there to be edgy it adds nothing to the content.Įxample 2 is underwhelming. It's raining and dark.Įxample 1 is already a copy of level 0. There are chairs and desks facing the front.ģ. This classroom has a chalkboard and a teacher with a computer. Level # has tons of lethal entities that will kill any wanderer on sight.Ģ. Level # consists of hallways with lockers. Here is a box with examples of unoriginal ideas, which will violate Rule 7.ġ. Once you make sure it follows the rules, we are done! But before we start, here are some examples of Rule 7, originality. We do, however expect compliance with Fandom's Terms and Conditions and The Schoolrooms Wiki Rules. Being a Wiki, we encourage anyone with the desire to create good, quality content to try and create a page with The Schoolrooms!īeing a fairly new Wiki on Fandom, we have not established many strict rules for page creation. Our levels often feel uncanny, liminal, nostalgic, or just "off". ![]() The goal of these levels is to create an atmosphere or a world that feels dreamlike or nightmarish. Levels in The Schoolrooms are spaces designed around the concept of a high school. Levels are like alternate dimensions that exist in a cluster or a concept. Welcome to the Schoolrooms Wiki! This page is designed to provide guidance on level creation for The Schoolrooms. ![]()
